Escape Responsibility

A staff was nominated to perform a task but he try to avoid it by finding excuses of busy in doing other things. He hope that by delaying it and when the due date near, he may not be the one to do it. This is no use as his name was officially nominated by his superior and in the end he still need to do it. So why need to escape and avoid the duty ? If being nominated then just do it. Any unhappiness or remark can be made to the superior after completing the task.
