Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy Cost at Alexandra Hospital

 Last Year I have done my Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy at Singapore Alexandra hospital due to no appetite and sudden loss of weight for > 10%. Doctor advised to do endoscopy only as it only need to do fasting and can be done earlier as compare to colonoscopy that need to do a clean bowel procedure. 

I counter propose to do Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy together to have a thorough check on my digetive system since it is using the same operating theatre and facilities. 

The doctor agreed the proposal and had arranged the procedure at the later date for both scope.

Attach is the cost at the Alexandra Hospital after the government subsidise for their citizen.

As compare to private hospital, there is a huge differences in the hospital charging

NTUC Fairprice Save with $20 OFF on Fairprice Online Campaign Review

I had participated in the NTUC Fairprice Save with $20 OFF on Fairprice Online Campaign and had also read the term and condition. It stated that on the first purchase above $49 will get $10 off.



The second $5 off will be send to participant one day after the utilising the first promotion.
On 20 Jun I had used the $10 off promotion code.. However I had been waiting for the return promo code for quite a number of days and no email from Fairprice. Finally i email to the customer feedback on 25 Jun and then they send me the return promotion code.



After received the email, i immediately did the survey and utilise the return promotion code. This time hopefully they will send me the 2nd return promotion code. But in the end after 7 working days, still no email receive and i need to send the email again.


The email reply with the promotion code but this time i need to spend $100 in order to enjoy the $5 off. The NTUC Fairprice campaign is attractive to me but IT department in the4 NTUC Fairprice is not supporting the campaign and need the customer to trigger and ask for the return promotion code, It is a very bad customer experience and hopefully the NTUC FairPrice marketing department need to look into it. If your IT cannot support for the campaign then you should not market it. In the end it will gave a very negative feedback in the social media.

Bad Experience with Singtel DASH

on 7 Jun I use Singtel Dash successfully tap into Queenstown MRT but unable to tap out the Yio Chu Kang MRT. The station manager check my singtel dash and not able to find the details. In the end he manually lift the mrt gate to let me out. After that i afraid the same problem would happened again and decided to use the net FlashPay card to take another bus to my workplace that cost me $0.83. On 8 Jun Singtel charge me $1.63. Meaning the total journey costed me $2.46 instead of $1.71. On the 8 Jun send the feedback but no reply. Call the help desk today, the staff Rzaci ask me directly liaise with SimplyGo for the error in deduction. This is the customer service that the Singtel DASH provide. I dare not to use SingTel DASH for the public transport again.

Safety Alert - Philips Rice Cooker HD3027

Last Year I had bought a Philips Rice Cooker HD3027 for standby in case of my old rice cooker spoilt.

Last week my old rice cooker spoilt and I started to use the new Philip Rice cooker HD3027. On the second time of used, I put the rice cooker to warm mode, after 10 mins, I started to smell burning from the rice cooker. I quickly turn off the power and open the cover, all my rice was burn to brownish colours. On the third time of used , I turn on the rice cooker to warm my rice again, after 45 mins, the rice cooker could not be opened. I quickly turn off the power and wait till it cool down then can open the cover. To my horror, the housing of the rice cooker was melted and luckily I turn it off early if not it will be a fire hazard.



I had reported the case to Philips Consumer Care and below was their reply :


This is an update on your case. As per relevant team, you can bring the unit to our service center for assessment however setting proper expectation, if they have proven that it is not a manufacturing defect then charges may apply.

This is a ridiculous customer service reply to the customer. As a responsible company and for the safety of the consumer, they should take the initiative to bring the product back to their company for investigation. May be this is the only one that gave the fire safety hazard to the consumer but I can be assure that this product got the flaw which is the warm mode not function as it suppose to be.
